- 1
Quiz 1: Budgeting, saving, credit & staying safe
Covers: Budgets, emergency funds, compounding, credit cards, your CIBIL score, and spotting OTP and investment scams.
Why it matters: Most money problems start with everyday habits — a missed card payment, an empty emergency fund, a forwarded OTP. This quiz checks the basics that protect your monthly cash flow and your credit score.

Quiz 2: Saving & investing
Covers: Mutual funds, SIPs, NAV, index funds, asset allocation, rebalancing, fund costs and investor behaviour in falling markets.
Why it matters: Investing well is less about picking winners and more about avoiding costly mistakes — high fees, panic-selling, chasing what’s hot. Find out whether your money is working as hard as you are.
Start Quiz 2 - 3
Quiz 3: Protection, borrowing & life goals
Covers: Term and health insurance, home loans and EMIs, wills and nominees, debt repayment, and planning for retirement and inflation.
Why it matters: One uninsured hospital bill or an underfunded retirement can undo years of saving. This quiz tests whether your family is protected and your long-term goals are realistic.

Test your CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Readiness
Are you ready for the CFP® exam? Find out.
Three timed quizzes in the CFP® exam style — 25 questions each, including case studies — on investments, retirement, insurance, behavioural finance and tax (FY 2025-26 rules). Your score shows where you’re strong and what to revise.
- 1
Quiz 1: Mutual funds, retirement, behavioural finance & tax
Covers: Direct vs regular plans, duration, the Sharpe ratio, equity and debt fund taxation, behavioural biases and old vs new regime — plus cases on a young family and a couple about to retire.
Why it matters: It mirrors the integrated thinking the CFP® exam rewards: moving from a concept to a calculation to a recommendation for a real client, under time pressure.
Start Quiz 1 - 2
Quiz 2: Fund analytics, behaviour, estate & NRI taxation
Covers: SIP averaging, exit loads, XIRR, annuity vs SWP, prospect theory, gift and NPS tax rules — plus cases on a business owner’s succession and a returning NRI’s residency.
Why it matters: Estate, business-succession and NRI questions are where many practising professionals have gaps — and exactly where clients most need a qualified planner.
Start Quiz 2 - 3
Quiz 3: Portfolio measures, regulation, goals & capital gains
Covers: Beta, the Treynor ratio, time-weighted returns, liquidity risk, IRDAI’s 2024 reforms, capital gains options and LRS — plus cases on a couple’s first plan and an HNI’s property sale.
Why it matters: It tests recent tax and regulatory changes alongside portfolio measures — the material most likely to separate a good answer from the best one.

Each quiz covers different cases and topics — take them in any order.

A few minutes of questions can save you years of mistakes
Most people overestimate what they know about money until a real decision tests it — a loan offer, a policy pitch, a market fall or a client’s question. A short, honest self-check shows where you stand before it costs you.
Find your blind spots
Your result breaks the score down topic by topic, weakest first — so you know exactly what to work on, not just a number.
Learn from every answer
All 150 questions come with a complete explanation, including step-by-step workings for every calculation. Wrong answers become lessons.
Practise the exam format
The CFP® quizzes run on a timer with case studies, a question palette and mark-for-review — the way exam day feels.
Up to date
Questions reflect FY 2025-26 tax rules and recent SEBI and IRDAI changes, so you are not revising yesterday’s syllabus.
Free and private
No sign-up and no email needed. Your answers stay in your own browser, and you can resume an unfinished quiz later.
Know your next step
A strong score is a sign you could be ready for CFP® certification; a weaker one shows where to begin. Either way, you leave with a direction.

Questions about the quizzes
Are the quizzes free?
Yes. All six quizzes are completely free, with no registration, no email and no limit on retakes.
Which quiz should I start with?
If you do not work in finance, start with Money Management Quiz 1 — the three quizzes build from everyday habits to investing and protection. If you work in banking, wealth management, insurance, accounting or are preparing for CFP® certification, take the CFP® Readiness quizzes in any order.
Do I need a finance background for the Money Management quizzes?
No. They are written in plain English for anyone who earns, spends or saves money. Every answer is explained, so you learn as you go.
Is the CFP® Readiness quiz the real CFP® exam?
No. It is an independent practice quiz by CFPInstitutes.com, written in the style of the exam — scenario-based questions and case studies under time pressure. It is not affiliated with FPSB India, and your score does not predict an exam result. FPSB India does not publish a pass mark.
How long does each quiz take?
Each quiz has 25 questions. The Money Management quizzes are untimed and take about 20 minutes. The CFP® Readiness quizzes have a 60-minute timer, with 15 standalone and 10 case-based questions.
What happens after I submit?
You see your score, a verdict, a topic-by-topic breakdown and a full answer sheet showing your answer, the correct answer and a detailed explanation for every question. You can filter the sheet to see only incorrect or unanswered questions.
